Makeup And Skincare I’m Currently Loving...
Skincare and makeup is a huge part of my life. Having suffered with acne for a long time I’ve always struggled to find products suitable for my skin without breaking out more or having a bad reaction to the products. Being a University student it’s difficult to afford high end skincare and makeup 24/7 but having products that are gentle and won’t harm your skin are so important. I’m going to share some of my favourite products from this month but before I do so I think it’s important to address the fact that you don’t need a huge skincare routine with multiple products everyday. Sometimes your skin just needs to be it’s natural self, choose your skincare products based on what your skin really needs and what works best for you.
Alumier MD acne clarifiying cleanser is a product I’m trying out this month. I originally used it last year but not for long as I had put so many products on my skin that I broke out really bad and ended up just not using any products for a while. However, I’ve been having another go at it to see if it can improve my skin. This product is more on the pricey side but it leaves my skin feeling so soft and gives me a lovely glow. I've been using it for about a week and I’m going to see if my skin improves after about two weeks but so far so good. I’ve struggled to find a suitable moisturiser for so long so I’ve just been putting Nivea face and body moisturiser on recently, it’s cheap and adds to that glow which makes a perfect base for applying makeup
I don’t wear foundation everyday (even though my go to is mac’s face and body foundation which is a light and dewy coverage) so I sometimes wear alumier MD’s moisture matte which is a tinted moisturiser offering SPF 40 to keep you protected from the sun. It’s an all round great product, it’s not too heavy on the skin but gives you a beautiful sun-kissed look.
Garnier face masks are my favourite face masks ever! I’ve tried so many different face masks, even Victoria Secret ones! Garnier just leaves my skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated. My skin appears so much brighter and radiant which is ideal for me having acne which is often really red. They are perfect as part of a mid-week pamper routine to give your skin that boost it needs or just for relaxation. However, I don't use them every week as they can sometimes strip the skin of it's natural oils. If you suffer with acne I would recommend one every two weeks.
Let me know some of your favourite products and if anyone has any product recommendations for acne etc share them and let me know either in the comments or on my social media www.bybethshaw.instagram.com and www.twitter.com/bethhshaw
